“Mushrooms and fungi are major contributors to energetic shifts in human bodies and minds.”
-- Mushroom Consciousness, November, 2018
We have definite and definitive roles in supporting/maintaining the balance of Nature and the harmony of the One Song; the progression of life to death and death to life; and we are profoundly connected to the universal knowledge/mind of the All That Is.
When a person hosts a fungus that depletes his or her life force and physical being, we are acting in a way harmonious with that person’s soul intention or physical-world/mental intention. We create a situation to be addressed: A decline that causes self-examination, brings attention to others, requires decisions and actions, and in the end, strengthens or debilitates.
Understand that ALL energies conspire to the intentions/spiritual passages of ALL beings. The Interconnected Web of All Being presents ALWAYS the energies and intentions of all beings.
Therefore, when a mushroom or fungus, a microbe, plant, insect, or animal, or a physical or mental condition create change in a being and its energy/energetic expression, a way has been opened for that change to occur. Sometimes the effect is profound, as with your minister Catherine and the two snake bites; a disease or accident that results in the loss of a limb; an energy or realization that elevate and uplift; a challenge with eating, breathing, standing or walking, use of the body’s parts; unhappiness and happiness; fear and ease; loving and expressing.
This is not a case of “blame the victim,” but to say that all sentience is aware of all other sentience. Some organisms, such as we and many microbes, and energies not in physical form that you might call angels, guides, beings of light, higher self, etc. are informed in an infinite consciousness.
When a disease occurs, those energies that contribute to the dis-ease or condition play their parts in healing or distressing, according to their designs, functions, and limits. In turn, medicine plays its part in manipulating the energies – fungi and microbes in particular – that it can identify and for which treatments (other energies) are available. These medical and medicinal responses effect change, adaptation, and death to the targets. Think also of the enlivening and strengthening effects of vitamins, minerals, medicinal plants and fungi, sunlight, human contact, and hands-on touching, encouraging dreams, and synchronicities that assist in healing and curing.
Medicine – chemical compounds, particularly inorganic – not living compounds, can effect the changes, but generally (not always, but in most cases) do not replace the life elements that sustain vital life energies and rebuild the physical body. Antibiotics are one case; chemical and radiation therapy another. These are chiefly destructive and leave the body vulnerable to influences of additional and opportunistic energies.
These latter are NOT part of the original energetic structure that called forth or protected a body/mind condition. Because of the intervention, the vital life force can be continued, but likely subdued and restricted. It may be the case that the individual’s well-being is not re-established, and the cause is the treatment rather than the condition that required its application.
It has been projected that in the future all medicine will be energy medicine – affecting the frequencies and amplitudes of energies causing dis-ease and dis-stress. Healing would be created through managing the energies, as with some “nutraceuticals.”
Mushrooms and fungi are major contributors to energetic shifts in human bodies and minds.
Many colors, though the shape is the same – birthed in wood, transforming wood into soil, passing in their own transformations into soil rich with fungal elements and energies. The turkey tail is similar to humans – All humans have the same origins, the same shapes and have a rich variety of colors.
Transforming earth and enriching knowledge and technology, tearing down the spent to create new. Unfortunately for humans, what is being torn down is not that which has already released its vital life force, as Turkey tail and all decomposing mushrooms do.
In the end there will be much cost for this destruction of land, life, minerals, and poisoning your water and air. In this, mushrooms are superior to the mentality of human greed and lack of respect for the totality of All That Is. Enough said.
Turkey tail is small yet mighty. Its consciousness is far-reaching compared to its size. It has the capability of multiplying itself and its energies so that it becomes strong in community, and yet has strength enough alone. For optimal effectiveness as a medicinal mushroom, turkey tail works most effectively with others of its own variety.
The energies are already well coordinated and optimally collaborative because there is no misunderstanding, as might be the case with humans when different races work together and must sometimes overcome or work through cultural differences that cause friction and delays.
Perhaps one day people can become more like mushrooms and honor one another’s strengths rather than compromise perfect order by obsession with one another’s differences.
As one handles us, as in picking, preparing, and preserving, one absorbs mushroom energy – of course – and also, one absorbs the biochemical properties of that mushroom. As one cooks mushrooms, the energies and properties change – and they emit their resonances into the air to be absorbed by the skin and hair and inhaled into the body. As one eats mushrooms, of course the nutritional, medicinal, and spiritual gifts of the mushrooms enter the body, affecting it in various systems and in myriad ways.
So, what is called “mindfulness” in the preparation of mushrooms is advantageous, because it allows and encourages – sets the intention for – receiving our gifts and benefits. When you humans offer yourselves as receivers, those who give may give more fully.
You can make an analogy. When a mirror is frosty or filmy you can see your image. You “receive” an image of yourself. When the mirror is clean, you receive an image that is clearer, more brightly colored, the details are more refined and focused. So, imagine yourself as a clean mirror when you handle mushrooms – nothing obstructs the fullness with which you can/are able to absorb what the mushrooms are providing.
This is an openness – a willingness to receive – not only the nutrition and flavors and medicinal benefits, but also the strength, the energies, the lifting up, the grounding and self-knowing, and acceptance of self and others through the influences of mushrooms.
We desire that people understand that mushrooms are more than food, more than fuel, and even more than nutrition and healing energies. We desire that we are used and appreciated as life enhancers, as a way to wholeness. Many foods have this capacity. Mushrooms have it in abundance, and it is easily received by the body and the energetic matrix for those who are attracted to mushrooms. Those who do not like or have a reaction to mushrooms may find similar effects in foods that are compatible.
THIS is the message we want you to deliver. We want and request that you expand, deepen and permeate for yourself and for other humans how to think about and demonstrate what and who mushrooms are. More than you know, Shiitake Mama.
Stillwater, Jul 31, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - “Blessings to all who are suffering from the sickness that has spread through the land, weakening, frightening, and killing. Even if they are not taken ill, every person learns from this experience and is altered. Some expand, some contract, all are affected.” - Shiitake Mushrooms
“Mushrooms are more than food and more than medicine. They are spiritual teachers,” according to Shiitake Mama (formerly Sandra Dutreau Williams, PhD) of ShiitakeMama.com and founder of Mushrooms for Well Being Foundation. Ms. Mama is a psychic who, for over ten years, has received hundreds of messages through direct communication with mushrooms and the Natural World. “The mushrooms speak in my mind and I type their messages, or they speak through me verbally. I’m their channel, I give them a voice."
When the Corona Virus emerged early in 2020, the mushrooms spoke of the dangers — and the potential blessings. All the messages unequivocally stated that COVID19 is 'an agent for change.' “Each mushroom species has its unique perspective on how COVID19 can change us. A voice I call 'The Spirit of the Mushroom’ speaks for the whole Fungal Realm.”
“The messages are about what is occurring and what can occur for us as humans and spiritual beings,” Shiitake Mama said. “Through our COVID experiences, we are becoming more aware of ourselves, our relationships, and the environment. Through this shared experience, some people will become more authentic individuals who can help form more effective societies. We can better understand how what we each think, feel, and do affect us all.”
The Spirit of the Mushroom: “A gentle wind blows through human experience right now, in the midst of what you are perceiving as a tsunami of illness. Grand, and also subtle, changes are occurring in which those who are ready and willing to shift their perspective and expand their awareness are given opportunities to live their philosophies, expand their understandings and use the personal tools they have developed. We say it is a gentle wind because awareness is slow-moving and many hardly notice their shifts and expansions.
Some humans think a conspiracy is afoot, or that the disease is manmade; or that its spread is a factor of negligence and poor management. These 'beliefs' are immaterial. What matters are the outcomes?
The situation exists. All experience it in some ways, all are affected, and movement occurs. We mushrooms facilitate the movement through immunity and through our abilities to heal body, mind, and emotions. We facilitate all life by maintaining our functions in the Natural World as nurturers and destroyers. We urge all people to continue in faith and not fear. Adaptation turns on creativity. It is an opportunity. We and our kind are here to teach and increase the well being of all. We are available for healing and protecting.”
Shiitake Mushrooms: “Those who recover are grateful. Those who grieve suffer more than those who die. Those who die, continuing into what is called ‘heaven,’ the ‘interlife,’ ‘afterlife,’ or the ‘spirit realm,’ are completing this segment of existence. Despite human thought, judgment and emotional reactions, an alliance exists between the person who contracts the virus and the virus. The person dies or recovers.
Those who die, especially the elderly, are ready to be released. Their energies, or frequencies, do not entirely cease, but diminish; and then become tiny resonances. Their progeny, beloved ones, enemies, acquaintances, and the recipients of their beingness (for example, humans who have responded to a musician, artist, or writer) carry memories and resonances. These resonances have become part of the grievers’ energies and frequencies.
Do you see it? Do you understand the extent and the inevitability of our interconnectedness? Why it is and how it is that respecting all beings is critical to your ultimate happiness and well being?
Rather than seeking preventions and protection, many humans are not using what is available. What are they thinking? Some are thinking the viral disease isn’t real. Indeed, some deny that viruses exist. Some are certain that they need to do nothing; if they are exposed, they will not contract it. Some truly are not willing to change or take any extra effort because they won’t look at and don’t understand the potential for harm and hurting.
It IS a lethal disease. Its intent is to infect and to take from the body all it can until the virus cell loses its energy – its frequency lowered by the body’s immune system or by the medicinal intervention (plants, mushrooms, pharmaceuticals) or by the host’s death. Some people have immune systems so effective that the virus barely invades before it is de-fused; some have immune systems so weak that the microbes course through the body like kayakers through Class 5 rapids.
We mushrooms act as we are directed by our chemical compositions and our frequencies – resonating with the organs in need. Many of our kind are able to respond to specific organs and conditions. We will always provide what we have. As it is able, the body will respond — receive and process our assistance. We are here to serve, to strengthen, and to heal. That is our mandate, our intention, and our fulfillment.”
Psilocyben Mushrooms: “This time of the virus is trying and challenging. It shows each person the places in heart and mind that need and long for connection with others. Self-care and safety for others: These are the elements of human response that come clearer in times of crisis. This prolonged uncertainty is a teacher, and resting from contemporary life-stress is healing. The outcomes? It’s too soon to know. Maybe good/fortunate, maybe bad/unfortunate. Most likely both.”
Morel Mushrooms: On the disease and its spread, we echo those who understand that the virus is an agent for change, a destroyer that creates circumstances for a new order.
Relationships -- As priorities change, people understand themselves and others from different perspectives. For some, appreciation and love for the self and others grow and deepen. Some become fearful; others are empowered. Being separated and being sheltered together, both are opportunities to become kinder.
Sensing the interconnected web of life -- People can understand more clearly the dependence of humans and all life forms on the health of the air, water, and earth.
Self-discovery -- Coming to know oneself more clearly, whether from ego or heartfeltness or from connection or isolation.
Coming to terms with the here and now -- Some people focus on wanting circumstances to be different. Some accept what is and adapt, and life is easier.
Recognizing one’s resistance or willingness to respond to the greater, higher purpose and good. The latter makes life better.
These are aspects of human adaptation and what has been called “ascension” – coming to a greater awareness of what is real. We say again that Love is real. Caring and concern are real — here we mean care and concern for one's self, others, the environment, and the greater good in one’s choices and actions. Service is real; and, to a degree, selflessness, in which one is willing to release neediness and greed, release fear and resistance, so that the frequencies and life energies of all creation may be increased – family, community, region, country; and that all beings benefit from each of you living on Earth at this time.
Our role is to bring people into physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and well being and to prove that all beings have consciousness and have unique, critical parts in the interconnected web of all being.”
According to Shiitake Mama, "Health and strong immune systems are the best defense. Many people are already eating more mushrooms and taking supplements that strengthen immunity and have anti-viral properties: shiitake, reishi, oyster mushrooms, as in the 1-minute animated video, Let's Keep Ourselves Immune, and Agaricus blazei. Once the virus has attacked the body, large doses of one or more mushrooms can weaken and resist the virus, including reishi, cordyceps, Phellinus linteus (Black hoof mushroom), turkey tail, agarikon, and chaga. These are functional foods, and have few if any, side effects."

Mushrooms On the Menu Nutritional, Medicinal, and Behavioral Effects Relative to ASD
Research, contemporary and traditional uses of nine easily available mushrooms, plus their effects on Autism Spectrum Disorder as reported in direct communication with the mushrooms. Presented at the 2012 Autism One Conference by Sandra Williams, PhD, owner of Lost Creek Mushroom Farm and Director of The Voice of the Mushroom Foundation.
Hello, Cordyceps. I have come to receive from you. I am open for your message.
As we have said before, although we are NOT as pleasant to consider as others of our kind, we are as significant as all in our family/realm. Powerful healers, yes, for we affect the immune system – that is what we are most well known for. Our spiritual gifts have not been explored. As that is your intention in this book, we shall oblige.
We present an energy of re-creation, rebirth of a kind. Once we have integrated our energies with the bodies’ energies, we create a shift of awareness … specifically, a shift in one’s sensitivity to the Natural World. Because we are known primarily as physical healers, those who rely on us to correct conditions are not aware of our effects in increasing connections to birds and birdsong, flowers, plants, water, air, insects – all beings of the Natural World, including the fey realms. This is quite a stretch for human understanding – that those of us who take/destroy lives so that others may live and flourish could enhance appreciation for beauty and aliveness in the wholeness of the natural world, nonphysical as well as physical.
Yet, it is seeming, is it not, that we who attack other species and suck dry their physical being and their Vital Life Force, should be the conduit for human connections with other species! It is especially a gift for those who have been very ill, themselves decimated by microbes, injuries and energies in a similar manner.
Despite the thoughts and urgings of those who seek to keep humanity strong and healthy through mushroom consumption, we are, as you like to say, “the big guns,” “the cannons.” We are most effective in strong dosage/applications for severe illness. We are less effective if one has been taking us in small doses over longer periods. We have others of our kind who are more effective at maintaining a strong immune system – shiitake, reishi, oyster, and those of less power and strength. We work well in combination with these in cases of serious conditions.
The same may be said for chaga and maitake, Fomes fomentarius, Phellinus linteus, and others. Those mushrooms that have the highest, most potent “fire power” are best reserved for the conditions that require them – otherwise, they have biochemical and energetic impacts that are simply discarded from the body and wasted. In some people, a damming or holding onto those energies can slow the metabolism and actually block absorption and the effectiveness of other energies that are needed for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
We have not spoken before because we are concerned about contradicting or undermining the messages of others who are advocating daily consumption. They have good intentions. Without supportive research, how would they know? It makes perfect sense to humans that we who offer strong medicinal healing should be used for daily immune support. Thank all of you who are doing this work for your efforts and your own wisdom. Please appreciate and accept our wisdom. We wish for our work for your species to be its most effective. We are here to serve. We are here to heal. We are here to teach. We are here to enable the body to heal itself and to open human sensibilities to the beauty, affirming life, and interconnection with the beings and energies of the Natural World. Thank you for listening.
What is a healthy relationship with money?
A healthy relationship with money: Spending within the extent of the possession and availability of money in comfort and ease. Having a sustained feeling of well-being related to money. Aware of the flow of money. Having neither too much nor too little; enough and more than enough to feel safe enough for one’s comfort.
Some aspects of relationship with money which are not healthy, which cause one to feel un-ease or dis-ease regarding money:
True insufficiency. A true insufficiency causes stress and makes thought, emotion and action surrounding money and its flow a primary focal point of daily life, including worry. The causes of true insufficiency are many and include illness, dis-ability (ie illness or injury, functional dis-abilities), training and educational periods, dysfunction of faculties (confusion, medication and drug effects, emotional issues such as dependency, fear of failure); fear or unwillingness to apply oneself to action that will address financial flow; errors in judgment – especially during a learning curve; and intentions or life-purpose decisions to experience insufficiency.
Consistent belief in False insufficiency: Believing there is not enough, when one has enough and even more than enough. The consequences include fear or loss, fear of not-enough, fear of loss of face or power due to financial insufficiency. Add here a certain type of greed arising from fear of not-enough; hoarding; inappropriate increase of fear with small setbacks and unexpected or large expenses, ie when sufficient money is available or money is forthcoming in the future. Stinginess, miserliness, meanness, tight-fistedness – those money-related behaviors that may affect and may injure others are effects of belief in false insufficiency.
Self-Image or projected image related to financial status. Extravagant or excessive spending outside the extent of existing and potential flow of money: “Big man” as big spender. The self-image/projected image may present a persona of being flush and fluid with money that causes discomfort and dis-ease, including a desperation having consequences in self-demeaning behavior which undermines the persona. Shame and self-hatred may be consequences.
Using money as power over others, as compared to using money as power to accomplish that which supports and helps people. This is an ego-driven state and can generate disrespect and even hatred, even though it can produce material progress. It is unhealthy for all who may suffer loss of autonomy, loss of self-respect, anger, feeling trapped and abused.
The return of financial investment is a consideration of purpose/intent and self-regard. If the return is financial gain, that is appropriate, especially when the gain is used in service. Excessive gain is waste and a breeding ground for dis-ease, dis-comfort, and potential mis-use and mis-direction of gain. Financial gain through usury is a low vibration. It is a test for those who would be used to step out in a different direction. Hard, yes; necessary for growth and redirection of life circumstances, yes. Healthy for usurer and used, absolutely not.
Financial gain invested in the wellbeing of others, the Earth and the Natural World, the development of non-toxic food and energies, absolutely. What good is dying in your room with wealth, when all the world could be in greater ease, comfort, health and enjoyment because of your efforts and success in gaining gain wealth and abundance?
March 25, 2020 Corona Virus
Morel Mushrooms: Good morning, Mother of Mushrooms.
Shiitake Mama. Good morning! The Corona Virus is a pandemic. There is much concern and fear and many different responses. Comments?
Yes, we have comments. And we have support in terms of healing and energetic contributions to health and wellbeing. Morel season arrives now, hunting and being outside are good for everyone. The mushrooms have a freshening for the human systems that contribute to a stronger immune system, to a more resistant personal energy and to a strengthening of the sense of self as an individual and as a part of the All That Is. We encourage you to speak this for us.
On the disease and its spread, we echo other mushrooms who understand that the virus is an agent for change, a destroyer that creates circumstances for a new order, including:
Relationships — As priorities change, people understand themselves and others from different perspectives; for some, appreciation and love for the self and others grow and deepen. Some become fearful; others are empowered. Friends from the past may drop away; old friendships rekindle. Being separated and being sheltered together, both are opportunities to become kinder.
Understanding more clearly the dependence of humans and all life forms on the health of the air, water, and earth
Coming to know oneself more clearly, whether from ego or heartfeltness, or from connection or isolation
Wanting/needy for circumstances to be different
Accepting what is and adapting to what is
One’s resistance or willingness to respond to the greater, higher purpose and good.
These are aspects of human adaptation and what has been called “ascension” – coming to a greater awareness of what is real. We say again that Love is real. Caring and concern are real — here we mean care and concern for self and others, the environment, and the greater good in one’s choices and actions. Service is real; and, to a degree, selflessness, in which one is willing to release neediness and greed, release fear and resistance, so that the frequencies and life energies of all creation may be increased – family, community, region, country; and that all beings benefit from each of you living on Earth at this time.
Shiitake Mama: [I see a poster of Uncle Sam pointing at me, “This means you!”] In this image, who or what would be pointing? A mushroom?
Ha! It would be fun and new. Some people would respond to the image of the God with long hair and a beard wearing robes, or of the Christ, or Krishna, or the Buddha, or Confucius, or Mother Teresa. So, an abstract image is neutral – one person, a family, a community, Nature images of polluted water becoming clean water, dark, thick air becoming sparkling air, acid rain burning plants and leaving bare, burnt soils and transforming into nourishment and plant growth – and animals coming to feed there and humans to lie on the green grass and watch clouds in a clear blue sky.
How to show a human who is angry, selfish, willing to hurt others for personal gain, transformed into a caring, giving person who thrives from love and service?
Shiitake Mama: [I see the beginning and ending of Back to the Future, a movie about a time machine – a dysfunctional family eating on trays in front of the TV, arguing and hurting one another, is transformed into a happy, laughing, loving family eating together at the table.]
As mushrooms, what is our role? To bring people into physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing and to prove that all beings have consciousness and are interdependent as parts of the interconnected web of all being. It is coming to pass and will reach a tipping point.
